Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was first associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines").

In our home we express Valentine's Day love and celebration with the whole family. We try to make sure that our children know that we love them and want to celebrate that love with them.

There is someone else that has a heart filled with love for us God. "God so loved the world that he gave is only son." That son Jesus loved us so much that he willingly died on the cross to save us. Even though we sin and are not perfect God still loves us. That is unconditional love!

Here are some passages that show the love God has for us.

1 John 4:19
1 John 4:8
1 John 15:13
1 Corinthians 13:13
Psalms 103:11
