Today is our 10 year wedding anniversary. Its hard to believe that it was only 10 years ago that we got married! We are going away for the weekend and staying in a beautiful suite in Reno, NV. I cannot wait to get there.
I will finish up the Namesake Study at the beginning of next week and post some other fun stuff to.
See Y'all later!

House Purchasing Headaches
When my husband and I purchased our first home almost 8 years ago I was a loan processor, we had our real estate agent and I did the loan work. There was very little stress in the whole process. I was able to check on it every day and knew where it was in every stage. Well...let me tell you what, this time around it's completely different. I have never been this stressed!!!!!
Our offer was accepted almost two weeks ago, pest and home inspections done and are clear, the appraisal is done and is good. We are going with a USDA loan and I have no idea where we are or how it looks. We talked to our finance guy and he said we won't even know until a couple days before we are to sign our final loan documents if the loan is good or not. WHAT? So that means we could get all the way to the end of this stressful process and potentially not get the house because of the financing. That is crazy, my anxiety is through the roof. Please someone bring me a zanax.
Meanwhile we are starting to look at kitchen cabinets, carpet, and paint. Am I crazy, going to get my hopes up? I hope not, I pray every day that if it we are doing the right thing and its God's will that we live in this house that He please please please let everything go smoothly.
Here are a few pictures of the house in its current state, changes will be made! There may be a slow down in my bible study posts to every other day for the next couple months as we move and work on the house.
If you like the daily devotion please make sure to comment or send me a quick email, so I can take that into consideration as I make plans for future studies.

You an find the recipe on my pinterest Food Board or here is the link
Here is my version of the recipe

- Regular flour tortilla's, cut in half
- 2 / 3 chicken breasts

- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- Grated cheese
- Re fried Beans (for the beanny cheesy flauta's)

- Sour cream, guacamole or salsa for dipping
Directions:
- Place the chicken breasts in a large pan and cover with chicken broth or water
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat add tomatoes and simmer 10 minutes (or until chicken is done)
- Shred chicken and mix with seasonings
- Preheat oven to 450 degree's

Hope for the Weary Mom - Continues Tomorrow
The whole family went to visit my mom and dad in Nevada this past weekend. I really wanted to get away from home, relax, and have some breathing room from the stress of buying a house. But I think I stressed just as much at my mom's as I was at home. But I love visiting my parents, its home for me ♥ Our oldest daughter has been staying with the parents for the past couple weeks after finding out that she has been getting herself into some major trouble. (I'll talk more about that in a later post).
We went and walked around Virginia City NV, and then went to the shooting range. Yes we are a family that shoots together :) Cloe got her first gun a little pink .22 so cute, and she had fun shooting off a couple rounds with her dad. I'm planning a trip to go up again soon, alone so that my mom and I can get our Junkin' on. I can't wait!!!! That will be a post you wont want to miss, lots of thrifting and antiquing, eye candy for all you vintage lovers.

We came home Sunday and I was beat, which carried over to Monday. It was about 108 here and I did not feel well at all. I have heard of people talk about the tiredness of MS, an exhaustion that hits hard. Well I felt it yesterday. An all over tired where my limbs felt heavy and I just had to take a long nap. I talked about how I take strong pride in the way my home looks and is taken care of. Well my husband came home yesterday very irritated that the house was a mess. It made me feel like I had failed as a wife, that I wasn't doing my duty to take care of my home. He didn't think about my not feeling well, or how I might feel at his outpouring of irritation about the way the house looked. I think this will be the hardest part about having MS, not being able to do it all and hoping that my family will help and be understanding. So many things to adjust too.
So now that you are all up date there is some exciting news about the house we are trying to purchase - we are having the home inspection done today and the appraisal later this week. I'm starting to put my doubt about us getting the house behind me and starting to get excited about moving.
I hope you join me tomorrow for the continuation of Hope for the Weary Mom.
God bless and have a wonderful day!

Today is the Day
Today is the day that I meet with my Neurologist to discuss and finalize the start of my MS (multiple sclerosis) treatment. I have to be 100% honest I am struggling today. My husband keeps telling me not to stress that we will deal with it as it comes, one day at a time. But I'm scared of what treatment might bring, sickness, fatigue, and the inability to be me...a mom, a wife, a sister, a friend and in-charge of my household.
I am so emotional and stressed. I found this website / webpage and it reminded me that sitting in worry is not what I should be doing right now, there is someone that I should be turning to for comfort, God.

The moment I feel afraid or overwhelmed, I reach for His hand. I go directly to Him and pray. It wasn’t always this easy. I used to just sit and worry. I would worry so much that I’d forget to pray and read the Word.
Many times we get overwhelmed with life and forget how big our God is! God is always there to comfort us and reminding us we need to seek Him at all times in the good and bad.
Four things I’d like for us to keep in mind when feeling afraid, faithless, or overwhelmed:
1. God will comfort us: Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your promisegives me life. -Psalm 119:51
2. God wants us to rejoice in Hope and in His promises: Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. -Romans 12:12
3. Remain in His peace: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33
4. Keep the faith and fight the good fight: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. -2Tim. 4:7

I'm not done, I have so much more to share
I wanted all my readers and followers to know that I have not abandoned my blog, I have so much to share. I am trying to figure out my MS diagnosis, 2nd opinion, treatment, etc. With all of this medical / insurance stuff I have to take some time off from blogging. I will be back next week with a new bible study series and an update on my condition and hopefully treatment.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

My Prayer for Today
Yesterday and today my stress and anxiety levels have been through the roof. I feel so out of control, but I hate talking about it..so I try to bury it.
With all the normal stresses of life, being a mother, a wife, a women, having health issues, plus financial stressers, it all becomes sooo much. Sometimes I feel like I a carrying a bag of bricks on my chest and I just need a clean fresh breath. So that's what I turn to God for, He is my fresh breath!
If from reading my blog you haven't guessed my favorite place is anywhere near the ocean and my favorite colors come from its waters. I use these images for strength sometimes. I imagine the sound of the waves and the feel of the wind and mist.
On these days I also crank the MC Contemporary Christian station on my TV, Michelle Tumes "Christ of Hope" is playing right now.

What a Crazy Week
Just a second, hold on, I'll be right there. This is what my house sounds like right now.
This week has been one of the busiest in awhile. There have been multiple errands or appointments every day. Today I got up at 6:30am went to the gym, came home at 7:45 went to jump in the shower and my Cloe (3 yo) wakes up and is covered in an itchy red rash. I get in the shower and start getting ready when the plumber shows up to fix the shower. Now on to grocery shopping, a home loan appointment at 4:00pm and Cloe's spring program at 6:00pm (that is if she is rash free).
I sometimes during all of this remember to stop and breath for a minute. To remember that God has blessed me with all of this. I am thankful every day for the things I have and my prayers are constantly filled with praise for the many blessings I receive.
Tomorrow is Friday - playdate day! And a fun BBQ with family and friends.
I hope you all have an amazing holiday weekend, remember to have fun with your families and be safe!

Saturday Cloe and I spent the day at the Rocklin Community Fair and went to the fireworks. It was a weekend full of laughs, smiles, and fun fun times.
Here is my first tomato of the summer, its a little guy but I grew it. :)

A Large Dose of Real Life
What a Monday and its only 12:30. My daughter got in a fight and got suspended for the rest of the year. My husband's aunt is calling me for advice on filling for divorce, and my father in law is calling trying to get a hold of my husband. 1) My daughter and I do not get along and it kills me. I am mad that she in trouble again for like the 5th time this school year. 2) I have never been divorced so how can I help you and 3) my husband is at work and I want him home.
I have to go and pick up the little one from preschool now. Sorry about the vent but what I day and its only half over.
p.s. Got back from picking up Cloe and dropped a large Ball jar full of Vanilla Chia Pudding and the shards popped Cloe's balloon puppy that her teacher made her.
What a day...and it isnt over yet! Please God give me patience, grace, and to remember to keep my frustration to myself.

Frustrated Wednesday
If you have read my background posts (check them out in January's archived posts) then you know that I have been struggling with back pain for along time and over the past three years it has been a daily struggle. Today I woke up and its a bad day, my pain level is high, but I have to still have to get Cloe (3 1/2) up and to preschool. I have to push through and keep on that happy face for those around me. The rest of my day will be spent stretching and on the ice pack. My prayer today is that the pain will level off and I will not take out my frustrations on others.
She Reads Truth - Prayer in the Bible will be available tomorrow. Sorry for the delay and I hope that you follow along tomorrow because Day 11 is a good one. Please send up a little prayer for me that my pain is alleviated!
I hope your day is filled with blessing small and large and you remember to give thanks!

Biblical / Bible Study Journal
Since I have been doing my bible studies I have been journaling. Most people might think that journaling is something they did in grade school, but its really fun and its a place to reflect back to on your thoughts about God.
Journaling doesn't have to be like taking notes, it can be personalized to what you want it to be. If you are reading a passage and an image comes to mind draw it, paint it, write it out. Its your journal, make it pretty. If you scrapbook or are a paper crafting type person use embellishments, decals, buttons, etc.
The most important thing when doing a bible study journal is to have your journal next to you with a pen when you are reading the bible. Then as God speaks to your heart you can write down those passages or thoughts, even if its something short you can come back and draw, doodle, or write more down later.
I really great place for ideas and a place of how to start a biblical / bible study journal check out Ann Voskamp's website A Holy Place.

Random Thoughts Today
I am full of random thoughts today.
We had a great vacation, but Cloe, my husband and I came back sick (I will share more from our vacation in my next post). I am finally feeling normal today, but Cloe once again has that horrible cough from just a few weeks ago. When I am stuck in the house for 3 or more days with a sick little I find myself catching up on movies, yesterday while Cloe slept in my arms I watched The Impossible. What a movie!!!! I felt such fear, sadness, and inspiration. I wish that God would send me daily reminders to be thankful, to cherish each moment, and to remember that God has protected my family from tragedy.
That is my goal this year to remember that it could all be gone in the blink of an eye, to breath and release all those moments I cannot control, and to be thankful and happy!

I've Got To Tell You Something...I'm A Home Decor Addict
I had to write you a quick little post to tell you a secret. I'm a home decor addict. LOL Do you ever watch movies and follow the background more than the story line? I do. I'm watching You've Got Mail right now and I keep looking at all the great home decor in the background.
Look at that clock and the little chippy table in the background. Uhhh I love it. And why can't my library / local bookstore look like The Little Store Around The Corner?
The funniest part is I love home decor so much, but if you come to my house there really is very little that I have decorated with. I can't wait to purchase my own home and fill it with all the great items and pieces that I see in the movies.
Hope you have a great day!
P.S. Little Cloe is doing slightly better today, but is still coughing up a lung and in a horrible mood. More cuddles and less everything else today to get her feeling better.
